Assembly (with weapons) and March off.

(Commands are in Gold)

The idea here is that the squad gets ready to go off to do a skirmish or tactical display. As with assembly except line up as follows:  

 

LDR     MG      AMG      GM       RM1    RM2

 

LDR (Leader), MG (LM Gunner), AMG (Assistant Gunner), GM (Guide man) RM (Riflemen)

 

1. Serzhent

Squad leader (usually a junior Sergeant) faces Officer and holds right hand out shoulder high and horizontal to the ground.

 

2. stuh-nah-VEES (Fall In)

SMG: These are held at Port Arms throughout. Sling over left shoulder, under right arm pit. Gun at 45 degrees, right hand on butt, left on barrel sleeve.

 

Rifle & LMG: At Order Arms, weapon held with butt level with right foot. Trigger pointing away, right hand holding weapon just below sling connector. Weapon tilted slightly forward.

 

3. rav-N’YAAS (Dress Ranks)

Everyone looks left and lines up with the squad leader who keeps looking straight ahead. Rifle & LMG are pulled back to a vertical position at the soldier’s side.

 

4. SMEER-nah (Attention)

All heads look forward, stand to attention. Rifle & LMG are tilted forward again.

 

5. nah-reh-meen (Sling arms)

Over right shoulder, right hand holding sling. Rifle & LMG barrel pointing up.  SMG barrel pointing down

 

6. na-LYEH-VOH (Left Face)

    na-PRAH-VOH (Right Face)

 

7. SHAH-gum MARSCH (March)

 

8. STOY (Halt)

 

Extras:

nah-grut (port arms) can be used for arm’s inspection.

nah-plee-CHO (Shoulder arms: only for rifles with bayonets, on the left shoulder)

raz, raz, raz, d’vah, tree  (Cadence Call)

 

pree-VAHL (Fall out and rest……..on the march).
